I have been a St. Louis Cardinals fan since I was a boy and today friends I am profoundly saddened at the death of Darryl Kile. I don't have the words. I pray for his wife, twin 5yr. old girls and 10 month old baby boy. There is a plan for all of us I am convinced, and none of us know how much time we really have to be with our families and friends. Something to think about.

Died way too young. I heard that his dad passed away at an early age, also. Something genetic, perhaps?

    RIP Darryl Kile.

Also, your last lines are, indeed, something to reflect upon. Thanks for posting this.

On the news tonight they said he may have died from a clogged artery? Not sure, the way it sounded.

A substance believed to be marijuana was found in his room. A toxicology test may show more than a heart attack.

teamblue...The Arizona Republic Sports Page of 6-24-02. The Cook County Medical Examiner said the Marijuana had nothing to do with his death but he might order futher toxicology exams. The story was taken from the Associated Press releases.

A terrible tragedy to die so young and leave a growing family behind.
It's a reminder to all that how quickly things can end. Live life to the fullest and enjoy your family and friends.
