...Just wanted to let everyone know that I finished up my CompTIA A+ class last night. Got an "A" in the core section and a "B" in operating systems (DOS thru W2K Server).

I'll be taking the core section cert on Monday and the OS section cert on Thursday. Quite pleased with myself thus far. I'll be taking Network+ next.

    congrats. just try and take the cert tests while all that stuff is fresh in your brain. I took the core first which is pretty simple...the software part is a bit more difficult due to all the DOS commands you need to memorize. Good luck and keep us posted as to the results.

    Passed the core section cert test yesterday. Spent too much time preparing for the OS section and barely squeaked by. The OS section is Thursday. I'm studying hard.

    Thanks for the congrats, wish I were closer (B'ham, AL) because nobody here has lots of work for anyone without a degree or experience. So I'm just gonna keep on gettin' edgumucated until someone recognizes my finer qualities (or AL steps up in the world of technology).

    I do have an internship with my company's IT dept. I go over a couple of hours everyday and build new PCs (hardware and software), put 'em on the domain, and intsall 'em for the end users. But I've only been doing this and going to school since Feb of this year. Just gotta give it some time.
