Liked them when they came out even wanted one.

But do not think I would have kept it cause I now think they are ugly as Sin.

I had an '85 Starion. It was a great car. And mine wasn't a TSI, so it was not like all the others running around at the time.

If you had gotten one then it would have been beautiful to your eyes back then and maybe even today.

I've had vehicles that I had "fallen in love" with at the time. When years later I'd see them in photos ... it was unbelieveable to me, as I did nothave the same response to the supposed beauty or grace or whatever.

I tend to think that with vehicles at least, our notions of beauty change with the times very often.

Then there are those that ate classic beauties for many of us. [:)]

I was at a Dodge dealership where they were unloading new cars, and the last one on the truck was a bright red Dodge Conquest (rebadged Starion). The trucker raised the transport trailer top enough to get the car off, and wham! the top of the trailer fell and crushed the Conquest. It was sickening to see the car destroyed.

It took a couple of hours and 2 wreckers to raise the top of the trailer off the Conquest, and pull it off the trailer. (Chrysler Corp wanted it off the trailer and stored at the dealership). Months later, I heard that Chrysler had the dealer take out the leather seats, ship them back and Chrysler donated the car to a local tech school.
