hello everyone..once again needed help in the right gun department. I'm looking for another pump action shotgun. I have a remington 870 and was looking for a different brand. what do you guys think about the weatherby pa459???I know there isn't a lot of aftermarket parts for the gun yet. But I do believe sooner or later it might be available. I like how its length of pull is shorter. now mind you guys i'm not asking for a tacticool gun. I'm looking for reliability and ergo feel. I also like the grip. what i needed to know is if there are any issues with the weapon as far as reliability and construction. i know I'm asking for a lot since the gun is fairly new (not that much ammount sold yet). pros and cons please. thank you for all response.

You already have an 870. Don't try and fix what's not broken. Sorry no first hand experience with the gun you mentioned

You know I had a browning rep tell me I would like at least one of their guns.

The citori made in Japan was a POS at least for me. The maxus failed to go into battery.....

I did like their silver over and under, but I wouldn't buy one based on price.

Clearly you never shot a high standard 20, or a maybe even a pump shotgun.

Apparently it's turkish produced. Which can be hit or miss. Fit in a shotgun isn't an easy find some times.

And lets be real your ego and perception of a gun is different then every swinging whilrly gig out there.

And Cyclonus: I grew up swinging pump shotguns my whole life; I find far more joy in them than some over priced double gun (or semi auto). Because I am accustomed to shooting a Mossy 500; I can likely connect with just as much as you can with that over priced browning. In addition I can probably hit more with an 870 to although I haven't shot one in quite a while.

Mossbergboogie my first shotgun was a Mossberg 500 in 16 gauge much later I inherited a Citori having shot the Citori I love it and will never buy another shotgun I agree though few want one bad enough to pay the price tag but those that have them love every second of it. All im suggesting is go shoot one that will change your mind about calling them a piece of crap. I even invite you to come and try mine out.

I have shot a citori and I am not impressed; so yes I will call it a POS for me.

A gun that fits you will out shoot anything you have shot previously, and isn't the same for everyone.

Me and the 500 I have shot for 10 years is the cats nuts, and really I haven't found anything I shot better or like the feel of better in that time.

The same goes for choice of shot shell. Every gun is differnt just as every shooter is different.
