Media ranting.....mine

Its no secret I hate the media with a passion. To illustrate my point as to their usefullness or lack of it....A recent observation of mine. In the past few weeks leading up the anniversary of 9/11 they had nothing to talk about other than the same old same old, the war on terrorism, possible targets, etc. The powers to be then got it in their heads, hey, why dont we talk about the Amber Alert system until we find something new to talk about. So we heard nothing but news about missing children for what seemed like 2 weeks straight, must have been a rash of that going around, because now, lo and behold, we had the 9/11 anniversary to talk about and the recent news of Bush and his dealings with the latest war on terrorism events, and today's news of the so called terrorists being pulled over, but....not one child has come up missing, abducted, or anything of the sort. Wow, what a change, from missing, missing, missing, to the country at peace with its children. If you are in the media and this offends you, well, I'm not sorry, I'd just like to hear something that is really newsworthy once in a while, and not meant to increase ratings and sell more commercials, or to inflate someone's ego and pocket book. A little good news with each 1/2 hour of gloom and doom wouldnt be too much to ask for either, now would it??
