Does any one know anything about Astra Model A-100. I see one up for auction and it comes with 2 17 round mags. I do not have a gun of that capasity right now. Is this gun any good????

If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.

greetings, i have two a-100's in denver. and someday hope to have a couple more. they are one of the most under rated guns on the market today, along with the star 28m-30m series. i believe you will enjoy owning one. they kind of look like a 226 series sig but have a different lock up and an ambedextous decock system. astra has been making semi auto's for 80+ years and last year they sold out to star.respt submitted dads-freehold ps i hope i didn't offend you with my reference to brazil nuts on a different post.

The A-70 and A-75 are also very good compacts. I agree that these are good buys and well made guns. They're also more contemporary in ergonomic design than you might expect given that they peaked in popularity over 15 years ago. You won't be sorry to own an Astra.

I had an A100 in 45 and currently have an A90 in 45. Good guns, reliable, decent accuracy and as stated very under-rated. They are a bit on the heavy side though. As with any company that has gone out of business, parts availability in the future could be a problem.
