Rush Limbaugh

I haven't been able to listen to Rush Limbaugh lately. Everything he says just comes across as too hypocritical. Honestly, I can't stomach it anymore.

Rush says his back hurts, but it doesn't prevent him from swinging golf clubs. After my father hurt his back on a construction site, the last thing he would do is swing a golf club.

What ya think. [:X]

One of my acquaintances has expressed an opinion that Mr. R.L. is spewing hatred on his show.

    What say ye?

What an idiot. I have been out of the loop for the past couple of days, and saw on the local sports program and espn, that he really stepped in it.
I usually listen to the Philadelphia sports radio station, and turn Limbaugh on for a few minutes a day. Past couple of days I havent. Does he have an eplanation for his Jimmy the Greektype statment?

I've always been fine with Rush. Don't agree with everything he says but he is always bringing up points that no one else is.

About his back, I believe he had surgery on it. I doubt he had surgery just for fun.

I would much rather listen to Rush than say...Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, Ted Kennedy, Chuck Shumer, Willie and Hillary Clinton, Alan Colmes, and a whole host of other swill spouting left wing socialists. But I guess you get my drift. Oops...left Al Franken off the list, but he's added now.

    Yeah, like Salvage33 said.

I'm neither pro-Rush or anti-Rush, but I have to agree with you on that one![:D]

Rush was pretty good back in 1990 when I started listening. He had lots of comedy bits. He did the "Feminist Update", it was funny as hell.
His show has changed a lot since then. It is almost all politics, interspersed with Rush congratulating himself. He takes himself way too seriously. Today I can't stand to listen to him any more.
In many ways he is pathetic. He is still, at heart, what he was at age 17. He is that goofy fat kid who couldn't make the football team and couldn't get a date. Very insecure.

I like Rush and his humor. He airs stuff you don't hear anywhere else.
You can make your own judgements but at least the issues are presented.
He was totally wrong about Hillory Clinton running for the Senate and he was on the wrong side of the NAFTA issue. His upbeat humor is funny and it arouses passionate hate among Liberals.

The very thing that causes Rush problems (Truth)
among librels, is the exact opposite (Lies), that made
slick willie and his little puppy gfatlady, to be so popular
with the general public. Hate the man for telling the truth,
    well I don't.

You should keep in mind that his drug use began after operations. I was retired from a job because of an injured back and neck. They still hurt. I was told I would be in a wheel chair in several years. I still hike, hunt, walk, and try to work out. It hurts and hurts a lot. I decided that it is better to put up with the pain, risk the days in which I cannot walk or stand up straight, than just sit in a chair all day. I don't take the pain drugs and never did. I hurt like hell sometimes. But, if I was a golfer, I would golf as long as I could, figure some days or weeks would be bad one's and try to keep on living. What did you think of Limbaugh before?

For Salvage33: I couldnt' agree more. I don't know about the people on this forum, but I suspect some of the people piling on him and calling him hypocrite could care less about his back, pain, and drug use. They are using this issue to try and bring down the big one because, like a kitchen light, he comes on and shines the light of truth on all the leftwingers in this country. Ever notice, like with the Founding Fathers, they resort to attacks on a person to try and invalidate the person's philosophy?

I like Rush. I gotta' disagree that he takes himself seriously. Maybe his "tongue in cheek" and his subtle sarcasm doesn't get through to everyone and because they don't understand him, they think he's arrogant. I'm willing to listen if anyone out there can point out where he's lied about something. He gives his opinions and, obviously, not everyone agrees, but that doesn't make him a liar, or a BSer.
GEEEZ...I don't agree with everyone's opinion on GB.
    (What a concept, huh?)

here is an interesting idea about Rush. I would say that he about as far right as the "Reverends" Jesse Jackson [xx(] and Al Sharpton [xx(] are left. Why is he critized and while those two are praised? Those two have done much more wrong than Rush (Al is a "reverend" without a church and he doesn't make any money, all of those expensive suits that he wears belong to someone else. Now Jesse is alowed to spread lies against a man for supposed rape then when proven wrong he never appologized)
