Be polite, ask them how they got your number, advise that you are on the do not call list, ask them to remove you from their calling list.

    Document the call.

The do not call list does not apply to people you have done business with, but if you request them not to call they have to quit calling. If they don't and you document it, you file a complaint with the FCC and in some cases can win $5,000.

I don't get unsolicited calls on my cell phone. I make sure when giving out my number to business that have a legitimate reason to get my number, that I grill them on calling lists and solicitations. That slows them down too.

Oh and for some reason, political calls are exempt from the do not call rules. Call or write your congressman.

As for spam, I use similar. When I get scam spam, I forward it to the Abuse@ and or Spam@ the hosting provider of the offender. Gmail, hotmail, yahoo, take this pretty serious. They close the accounts after a quick investigation.

They're tracking you [:0]. They know your movements. I guess you don't have a "tin foil" phone cozy.

I'm not on a Do not call list,, my brother is, he gets 7-8 calls a day, I get 1-2 a week. Sounds like the do not call list is the culprit !!

Yeah right good luck with that. Most of them are machines fishing for a human and the FCC or anyone else isn't going to do squat. The ABSOLUTE best thing you can do is give them your legislators cell number. [}:)][:D][:D]
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

the state and federal do not call list is a joke...i upgraded to a dumb phone that can block any call not on my contact list...works good but i have to get out of the block to add or delete a contact...wife got that figured out ....her smart phone is easy for her to bump em..i emailed my state rep and suggested he sponsor a do not call act that would kill the buzzards in one week guarandamteed and he would get re-elected for life

WTH- might as well have fun with them. When "Rachel" calls about your credit card... "So, Rachel...........what are you wearing?" [:p]

While you are wasting their time they are not scamming someone else- and they ARE scammers.

No, I have not stayed at one of your resorts, my credit card pays me, I do not have a student loan or a mortgage- say, have you ever been in a Turkish prison? And you know this is all a plot by the Illuminati. Say, did anyone ever talk to you about chemtrails?

Go check quotes from Dr. Strangelove, and have fun with them.

I have NOMOROBO on my landline and it blocks an average of 40 calls per month.

NOMOROBO is available for IPhone with IOS 10.1 for $1.99/month. It will be available for Android soon.
