guns4goodguys: CCW Book

This site claims to have valuable information on obtaining a CA CCW:

They want to sell you a $50 book that tells you a surefire way to get a CCW in CA. Being a natural skeptic, I don't want to shell out $ until I get more info. Have any of you seen this book or something similar? Did it help?
