So. CA Shooting Class

Just returned from a great shooting class. $15 for a competent and enthusiastic NRA licensed instructor from 10:30AM to nearly 4PM.
Started with the basics and then worked up to double taps, multiple targes, hostage situations, "El Presidente" and other timed and scored drills, etc.
The instructor was patient and thorough and limits class sizes to 10 or less to allow for personal attention. 3 out of today's 8 shooters were women who also seemed to enjoy the experience so it's a good course for everyone. He reserves a private and isolated area at the range to avoid distractions which made for a pleasant learning experience. If anyone in So. CA (Los Angeles, Orange and SBD/Riv counties) is looking for a good class and a great value, give them a try. My wife and I really enjoyed it and learned a lot.

I bought a gun from the instructor a week ago, he casually mentioned that he taught, told me about the $15 free, so I brought my wife and a couple of friends. The cost was $15 to the range and $15 to him. I think that's his regular price, but if I'm wrong and he was just being nice to me after the sale, I'd still say the class is worthwhile.
He mentioned that he hadn't updated his site in a while, and after reading over his classes and schedule, the class dates and subject matter doesn't exactly match what we did. I suggest sending him an email and asking about the next one, on Oct 6 and see if he has room and if the subject matter is to your liking. I think it will be a continuation of where we left off today, which will focus on holster work and is a wee bit more advanced than beginner. Email and ask when the next beginner class is and he'll probably give you the details.
Good luck!
