Not that this is new here. Couple of decades ago there was a movement to split Arizona into North and South Arizona. People were pissed off the tax dollars flowed into Phoenix and never left.Other Arizona cities and towns were paying to build roads and highways in Phoenix, but getting few tax dollars back for their own transportation needs.
Then there were the Arizona Governors who fled in disgrace or were forced out by legal troubles.
I hear there's another bunch out there looking to split the state in half again. It won't happen, but it is an entertaining side show.
Oh, and Ruger is an Arizona gun maker. [8D]
All the troubles we have in Arizona and this is what these idiots spend their time on. Not on the budget, not on Border Security, not on attracting jobs to this state.

Do you spend time to read?
"We spent about 120 seconds of committee time on that bill," Gould said. "

And you believe what Arizona legislators say!? [:o)]
I've lived here 40 years, I learned long ago we may think we are voting for serious people, but in the end they end up either as graduates or escapees from a Clown College.
And that's an EVIL Clown College!

I expect that they took more time at lunch than they did to deal with this.
Hyperbole, anyone?
Careful, CiT, your collectivist stripe is showing, again.[;)]

Being a staunc liberal, you actually believe the morons in the legislature create jobs. Pathetic.
that is significantly different than "creating" jobs.
and can be done through incentives, reduced taxation, et cetera.
I tend to agree with his post in essence. There is important business to be done with the border problems and the budget.
feel good bs about a state pistol is really just a waste of time, even if it was only 120 seconds.
need to cut him a little slack, he said "attracting" job to the state.

Understood, but I see an important underlying value in a state government acknowledging and formalizing the importance of firearms in its history.
It show an open acceptance of firearms, even if unintentional.
I have no issue with them taking a day or two, or even only a 120 seconds, to take such symbolic actions, occasionally.
It seems as if the state-house is producing plenty of state legislation to stick a thumb in the federal governments eye and relative to illegal immigration, so I simply don't understand the attempt to connect the 'state handgun' action being discussed, with preventing the legislature from getting down to the 'real work'.
Gotta get to work now, have a good day, Jess.
You can head West, young man, to that land of milk and honey. Kommiefornia.
you'll fit right in.
Who'da thunk it!
