Anyone else having them?
I am on AT&T DSL, and started having issues yesterday afternoon,.....same again today.
It will work fine for awhile, and then sites just won't respond.
A couple of times I have seen the red bar on my modem that indicates loss of sync I believe.
I thought there might have been issues with servers due to the storm, but don't see how that would be impacting my connection, certainly not causing the red light for sure.
Sheesh,....I hate to call support.
I'll get some Indian I can barely understand, and will be on the phone for hours.

I did have trouble with my TV also When I checked my stations web site several others had the same thing. We were getting a scrambled signal, Not the normal loss of signal.
Try unplugging your modem and then plugging it back in. You'll get another feed, sometimes this helps.
Just for me Had to do that several time yesterday. Today I'm back to normal.

I tried this and it seemed to work for me. Hope it stays fixed.

OMG! How many times have I talked with Bangalore over the last two years. Always throws them when I ask them how the weather is downtown! But, it gets better when they transfer you to "Tech Support" in........Manila! And, finally the technican (who lives down the street...why do I need the other two?) comes over and fixes my problem. The last time he told me just to call his cell and forget the "globalization" problems! Good luck!
If only,.....I finally hung up on the guy.
Trying to tell me I have an inside wiring issue, or my modem is bad, and I need a new one.
He also mentioned that they have received 3,000 calls from my area code in the past few days, but there is nothing wrong he can see!![:D]
Tried to explain I was talking to him from the same jack as my DSL is hooked up to. I had already bypassed the filter, as well as cutting power for 10 seconds to the modem a number of times.
I imagine that in a day or so, things will be back to normal.
Lost track of how many times I said,....."I can't understand what you are saying."[xx(]
Dang, Marc,,,,,,that makes me appreciate my ISP,,,,,called a couple times at 2 in the morning and talk with a real person, Billings, Montana,,,,,,oh, and they speak cowboy english,,,,[;)]
It used to be that way with things around here, but that changed years ago.
Bellsouth was much better before AT&T bought them out.
In all honesty, I have had very few problems, and if you need a tech to come out they are always nice local guys.
Simple fact is 3,000 calls means there is an issue in this area somewhere.
As before, I will wait a day or two before having a tech come out.
I can get it to work enough for the financial stuff I really NEED to do.
Hurricane Sandy May Disrupt National TV Signals
We have been informed by the owners of several national cable TV networks that, starting later today, Hurricane Sandy and related weather events could disrupt certain TV signals that are uplinked and transmitted from the northeastern United States.
This situation could also affect televised events that the national cable networks originate from other parts of the country and transmit to us through their facilities in the Northeast. What's more, depending on the strength of the storm and the related damage, nationally televised programs could be affected for more than just one day.
Please know that this situation is not unique to Suddenlink: The disruption of national TV signals may impact other cable and satellite companies and their customers, as well.
We are talking with the affected national cable TV networks, now, to determine if and how such disruptions might be avoided or minimized. For instance, ESPN officials have informed us that - for the Monday Night Football telecast this evening - they hope to use an auxiliary transmission facility in Southern California, if necessary, rather than their facilities in the Northeast.
We wanted you to be aware of this information and to know that, as we receive updates, we will post them to suddenlinkfyi.com.
It's ripping along like normal,....doesn't mean it won't start again, but this is the longest I have had no issues in two days.
Ghandi musta fixed it![8D]
