Terror warnings?

Does anybody else wonder why in the Hell these terrorists keep warning us?

I mean, is this a tactic they hope will cause fear and create panic in the U.S.? Wouldn't action speak louder than words?

I know that if I was going to actually bomb something or hijack a truck/bus/plane I wouldn't warn the enemy!

I think it works two ways. The first is a hope that is keeps us off balance and causes some panic. The second is to get us used to hearing warnings till we let our guard down and make the mistake that lets them pull off an attack...JMHO

I think william is right. It is also kind of like the story of the boy who cried wolf. Our own agencies keep informing us of things that their reliable sources have revealed to them, yet nothing ever happens. After a while nobody believes or listens to them anymore.

They want to keep us in fear, they want to harbor us from going to the polls which by the way should be very secure. The thought of terror is as bad nearly as an act of terror. But when people quit doing things they normally do they have accomplished their goal.I urge everyone to show these thugs were red blooded by gosh Americans and no idiot setting in the desert drinking cactus rum is going to affect us in any way,and if they try the seal their own fate.Be alert report anything out of the way no matter how silly you think it may be.Its exactly like concealedG36 said why would you warn us?Do you really think Americans are cowards?I dont and I think 90% of the American public have done a darn fine job showing were not.

Terrorism is not about conducting successfull military operations. Terrorism is a type of propaganda, sometimes executed through violence, but most usually executed through threats. If the terrorists can disrupt our elections, our freedom to travel or our feelings of security in our homeland, they are being successful. These threats have the most effect when they are occasionally backed up with some kind of violence. We are winning the war on terror as long as we are living free in this country.

How much does it cost to issue a warning? If the responce to protect against the warning cost $1,000,000.00 then the terrorists have just caused $1,000,000.00 in damage. That money could have been used to grow food, do research, build roads ect.
