Tokyo-AP -- A Japanese man who left his infant daughter in a hot car for more than two hours while he read comics in a coffee shop won't spend time in prison.

A court spokesman says the man was found guilty today of negligence resulting in the death of his 19-month-old daughter -- and received a suspended 18-month sentence.

The man left his infant daughter in a car parked under searing summer sun last August, with only a small opening in the sunroof.

Investigators say that the temperature inside the car reached about 135 degrees.

    That's a crying shame...

They should lock his * in a 135 degree car until he dies, and then feed his crispy carcass to the buzzards. That still may be too good for somone who would do such a thing!

If that had been a woman who had done that, she'd be in prison right now. Courts in Japan are horribly stacked against women. Men usually go free for just about anything...........

I hate to add fuel to the fire, but...There was a case here in Western Ky just this week in which a woman left her toddler(one of a set of twins)in the car as she brought her groceries into her house. She forgot all about the child until it's twin started crying. (two hours after she had gotten home) When she went to check on the crying child, she noticed that the other twin was not in the house, but still in the car. That little girl died in the family driveway from heatstroke. The mother was convicted of reckless somethingoranother and given a sentence of one years probation! What a crock!
