    My view is any view I can get of them, I love em all. There's just something about a woman, they are all beautiful in their own way, not including several from my past. Wouldn't trade the wife for anything.

    My one marriage went south (with my help and hers) after 2 years back in the 70s. Since then I've had so many "serious relationships" that I ran out of fingers and toes. I can tell you the vain ones, and the ones with low self esteem (which may be nearly the same thing), are the worst, as with men, no doubt.

    There are a few great partners out there, but sometimes the one you pick doesn't pick you, so it's keep on keepin' on, or you'll get cynical and wind up alone. And of course the trick is not to get fat while single, but not to let vanity be the cause of your workout either (heheheheh!).

    Trouble is, there's no school classes on one of the most important aspects of living, so everybody's out there repeating the family mistakes. If you ever watch COPS, you know what the horror-show families are doing every night -- a way of life that involves crises, arguments, door slamming, fighting, crying kids (or terrified quiet kids), drinking, finger pointing, restraining orders -- just your basic fun American family at home! Whee!

    That business of not letting go of one until you have the next? -- UNHEALTHY, and a source of great misery. Almost guarantees a period of lying and untrustworthiness and (justified) fighting and paranoia at the end of every relationship. The best talk on relationships I ever heard was a lady who said good relationships are like slow dancing -- one partner leads at a time, switching off as necessary. She said you can't really "date" successfully until you know how to end relationships properly. She also said those who become too well indoctrinated in "standing on their own two feet" are also most well qualified to be alone the rest of their lives, because relationships require each person to remain willing to be "complementary" to another human being -- which means keeping the ability to compromise, make up, forgive, and even hear the word "no" occasionally -- you know, the stuff people dump each other for nowadays.

    Slow dancing.... partners.... trust....

    my experience is when they turn forty you need to take them out and shoot them. mind you i am not advocating any of you do this just that that is what they deserve. i guess i got no guts. i tried the arriage bit twice and when they turned forty+ they both decided they needed to have a variety instead of the same old loving man!!!!!!     My mom and dad got divorced when I was 2. when I was in my early 20's my Dad gave me some advice and Im still not sure wether it was best advice or the most insane he said " Dont knock her up,if you do you'll have to look at that witch for the rest of your life!!". At the time I wasnt sure whether or not I should thank him, or be mad at him for calling my mom a witch. Now that Im on my second marrige I really respect his point of view.....................lazy
