For my muzzleloader - 100 grains of pyrodex, 240 grain jhp bullet in a sabot (this will all change this year, I'm switching to 777) in my inline and a patched roundball with the same load in my sidelock.

For my Rem. 700 .300 win mag - Hornady custom 165 grain SPBT

For my Ruger .44 mag carbine - Federal 240 grain JHP

    Muzzle loader:
Flinter, 45 cal so 440 patched RB with 60 grains of FFF or 58 cal smooth bore loaded with a 562 patched RB and 80 grains of FF.
Caplock, 54 cal so 530 patched RB with 60 to 80 grains of FFF.
    Modern rifle:
270, Sierra 130 grain BT spitzer, 3031 IMR powder and cci primer.
223, Remington 55 grain soft points.
30/30, Winchester Silver Tips, forget what grain or my 125 grain reloads.
    Pistol:
44 mag, Riger Blackhawk, XTP 240 grain hollow point reloads.
    Crossbow:
Rocky Mountain 3 blade 125 grain supreme broadheads.

Other than that it could be any one of the many other calibers I have but those are te main ones I rely on.

Have yet to go hunting. Don't know how to get started, none of the (few) people I know that hunt seem eager to help someone get started.[V]

I've only killed two Whitetail bucks in my life because they aren't from around here. However, Blacktails are about the same in size on average, I guess. I would use my favorite reloads in .25-06...120gr Nosler Partition with H4831....[:D][^][^]

.308 - 150 gr. Hornady BTSP Interlock over 44.5 gr. of Reloder 15 and CCI BR primer. This load has proven quite accurate and quite deadly on Missouri and South Dakota Whitetails.

30-06 winchester 150 grain corelock. It always gets the job done.
