2 years ago i bought a 44 stainless with a 8 inch barrel that was ported for 325 dollars. Yesterday i went in a gun shop with a friend and they had the same gun but with a 6 inch barrel for 855 dollars and it was not ported. They have to be crazy. The rest of the prices were high but nothing like the 44. They also had a box of 50 federal 22lr bullets for 10.99 a box. They have lost there mind.

I use the Blue Book of Gun Values to get a idea of how much my guns are worth. The last book i bought was the 29th edition. From the 29th edition to the 32nd edition how much do you think the prices went up on average.

most of the guns in the auction seem to be on the high end
was looking at a taurus pt 111 in 9mm they started at around 300 up to 350
checked a high priced sporting goods dealer today and found the same gun for 300 with no shipping
is it me or are all the guns over priced

Have they now funneled down to custom shops like DSA or have they just not changed the prices on the web site?

Good morning all, I was looking in my favorite gun store the other day and noticed that the Glock 21 that I picked up last year is about $180.00 now. All of the gun prices have risen considerably. I guess since the gas prioes have risen and lowered the amount someone can rob the store for, the price of the gun has to go up (ha,ha). Seriously, when are the prices going to level out? When I was growing up it seemed like the prices never went more than $30 - $50 up and down.

Just got my new 2004 catalog of firearms, and are there some drastic changes in the prices of some guns. Some way up and a few that actually dropped in value. I like the book as it gives more information than the blue book and isnt too far away from blue book prices.

Noticed the same thing yesterday. I was looking for a saiga hunter 20" bbl in 7.62x39 for a project I'd like to try. Found one here on auction for $219. Saw my local gun dealer today and am getting same gun for $180, plus no ship or FFL fees. Seemed a little while back I found what I wanted on GB for less (with ship+FFL) than I could buy for locally, but seems to have changed over last several months.

I especially enjoy finding parts/mags/etc here for 2X what I can buy them for from centerfire systems.

Seems the greed bug has bit down hard, doesn't mean I'm buying
    though!

You're right about the ammo, I can still get it on GB cheaper than local shop(s)-Ralph

Nothing very, very good or very, very bad lasts for very, very long.

For what it's worth, I too have a PT 111 and love it so far.

Other people have had good things to say about the Kel-tec P11 and it's about 100.00 cheaper than the Taurus.
