My little sharp shooter.

My daughter Alida's first day at the range was a great success! After a morning with the .22's she decided to try the M1A and hits 2 out of 5 on a 15"x15" steel plate bell at 200 yards. The pride I have for her is overwhelming.
Thanks for letting me brag.

drawn, you're a bad influence. Next thing you know, she'll be starting a chapter of the Second Amendment Sisters at college.

Drawn, Thanks for doing your part to raise the next generation of responsible shooters. Even if your daughter never takes up the "sport", at least she will have an informed opinion and be able to make informed decisions. My wife and I are expecting out first child in February, and I know some day I will get to enjoy a day at the range (or on the farm) with mine like you did with yours. Thanks for being a good dad.

Congratulations to Dad and the young marksperson!!! If they've never experienced the pride us dad's feel they don't know what it means! If you've been reading the posts you know about "Miss GHD" and the 17HMR and the groundhogs! She's got her own 260 Remington now (courtesy of AlleninAlaska) and she's ready to bust a chuck or a deer with it!! Give the little lady a hug and tell her it's from "Groundhog Devastation" and to keep on shooting!!! GHD

These posts put a smile on my face. You guys should be proud.drawn; with a little cutie like that have you got your (rules list) "drawn" (pun intended) up for her boyfriends yet? She looks like she can take care of her self though.

If I knew then, what I know now.

Better keep a good hold on that M1A. My youngest son (11) believes my Colt 6700 is or at least should be his since he shoots it more than I do.

I have enjoyed teaching my sons to shoot and really enjoy hunting with my oldest.

The look on your daughter's face says it all...I think you are going to have a new range buddy from now on.

Yesterday she cleaned both .22's didn't complain about the smell much and did a wonderfull job. She is claiming the Springfield as her's and I told her it must be well taken care of, remain in the family and shot and bequeathed by all generations. She also hates the synthetic hand guard rattle on the M1A and is going to make a leather gasket to remedy the the problem.

This post almost brought tears to my eyes. Tell your little girl "Way to go" for me and let her know that there are other ladies who enjoy shooting and she should be so proud of herself.

    PEACE..., through superior firepower.
