Wife says that they do them all the time on stroke patients to look for bleeding and blockages on the brain.

Since you are a New yorker, I will tell this story about the first
MRA testings.

The staff of doctors wanted to know just how much radiation to use in the early days of MRA's. so they came up with this test.

First they took a healthy man and had him sing a familiar song....

"Oh can you see, by the dawns early light...."
Then they started with low dosages......

He then sang..."Oh can you...Oh can you...Oh can you".

Next a little more radiation...
"Oh can.......Oh can....Oh can...."

Finally, the doc's switched onto the full dose to his brain area.

That's when he sang....

"Oh....I wish I was in Dixie..."
