Woman Kills Dad In Hunting Accident
A Pinellas County man was shot and killed by his daughter in a hunting accident in Levy County.
Charles Ellis Whitfield, 57, of Largo was killed by a shotgun blast that struck him in the back, said Lt. Dewey Weaver of the Florida Fish and Wildlife onservation Commission, which investigated the shooting.
Whitfield was hog hunting in the woods Sunday with his daughter, Crystal Star Whitfield, 25, of Gulf Hammock, when the accident occurred, Weaver said.
He said Crystal Whitfield was walking behind her father when she tripped and somehow discharged her shotgun.
