What does this title have to do with the story?
Affidavit: Guns found in Virginia couple's home

It's only overrated when it's readily available...

Mon..., I mean Seth, anyone knows that if you have firearms in your house, you are much more likely to get killed by one...Remember the BS
study in the New England Journal of Medicine a few years back. I guess the media is still trying to prove that flawed study as true.

In all honesty, you are right, it had nothing to do with anything, but it makes a better story, right ?

I hate to say it, but we had a case in New Mexico where a woman went for her gun and it was taken from her and she was shot in the had by her rapist. Pretty say when the nay sayers are right even one time in a hundred.

I think that headline refers to the fact that they are going to check the 22 rifle to see if it may have been the murder weapon. The shotgun was just a victim of circumstance.

I was thinking the same thing when I read this earlier today. ANY firearms in a house sounds bad to some people. If these people got out and saw more of their country maybe they'd realize that they're the ones who are the oddballs. This article describes standard issue rural American houseware.

Too bad the man didn't get a chance to use one of 'em.

Too bad the ol' boy didn't answer the door with the 12 gauge in his hands. They might still be alive.

A good example of why you should keep a loaded pistol in every room, preferably one in each dresser. If this were the case, the husband or wife would've heard the gunshot, woke up, and hopefully killed the intruder(s). Or the little girl would've woke up and done the deed.
