This sticker, it's on my dash board, while getting loaded today I tried peeling it off, it's on there good.

Curiosity got the best of me, I Googled the number, this is what came up.

    I think it's there so you can report OTHER trucks as being broke down.

    I have an old school buddy who is a design engineer for Volvo.

    Last I spoke with him, he was really proud of the product they are putting out.

    I'm going to try and keep this short but you know me, I like to ramble [:D]

    When I realized things were going south in a hurry with the Pete I knew I needed a truck and I needed one quick. I secured financing on a Freightliner I found online, drive all the way to Nampa, ID to pick it up and it turned out to be a total turd so I left without the truck.

    I stopped in Jermome ID at the Kenworth dealer looking at trucks on the way home and was put in contact with a sales lady. We spoke for about an hour, I told her my predicament and she told me she would find a truck in my original price range that is driveable, she came up with this Volvo.

    I bought this out of desperation to get to work, I am glad it runs and have no complaints mechanicaly. BUT I have issues that I cannot explain, it is wired into my DNA and I've had this issue since I was a kid, that issue is I cannot drive plain jane mundane crap, I gotta look good.

    This truck is a basic truck, it is ugly, there is no respect when driving these, other drivers look at you like you're no different than a Swift driver, basically I have been knocked down not just a peg but the entire peg board, I have downgraded and downgraded hard. I feel like a football player who got kicked off the team and now plays volleyball.

    But your right, it is paying the bills but sonce I'm paying for it I'm alowed to * about it!

    If the Pete deal dies on me I've already told the sales ldy that sold me this truck to start looking for a Kenworth W900L [:D]

    There is no denying personal feelings, BSR. I'd be the same way if I suddenly had to drive a green Lezbaru Forester...

    But from out here, that's not a bad looking truck. Yeah, it's a bit plain vanilla, but it's making money for you. If other drivers chuckle, you can laugh all the way to the bank.

    If you go past Ogden Utah, look left and wave as you pass Exit 344, willya? (Jeremiah's Restaurant just east of the interstate has the best breakfast in Utah.)

    I hope you have some thing to put on top of those foam pads , those thing suck to sleep on, does that truck have just the sleeper curtain or does it have the one that goes around the windshield?

    A guy I used to work for had an Audi TT and a Subaru with a turbo, an Impreza, I think, but not the WRX. I commented on the TT, saying it must be a great car to drive. It's nice, he said, but not as fast and as nice as the Subaru.

    Lonnie-that was funny. Maybe, more appropriately, ironic. Hope things go well for you, and it's all blue skies from here. Worst comes to worst, masking tape and flat black spray paint. Or, you might just want to leave it there, to get a good laugh sometimes. I think God does things like this to us, to show he has a sense of humor.
