Willie put on a great show as usual! It was a very small production with only a couple band members (1 snare drum, 1 piano, 1 bass, 1 harmonica, and Willie's gitaur) but thet were on stage for right at 2 hours playing alot of all his hits along with some very unusual stuff (but still quite good) for Willie.

About the only song I think he ruined was "Beer for My Horses" because he just does not sound right singing Toby Kieths part.

It still amazes me that his old gitaur is holding up! That thing looks like it can fall apart into a hundred pieces at any minute but his still gets right in and picks the hell out of it!

My Free room from Harrah's was unbelieveable! It was not a normal room. I had a living room area with a seperat bedroom and a plasma TV in each room. The jacuzzi bath tub was big enuff for 2 people! The rate for that room if I would have had to pay for it was $599 per night![:0]

For dinner last night I had a 22oz. ribeye steak and lobster with all the fixin's! I could not finish the whole meal it was so big!

I got all that for free and I only blew $100 in the casino and my gas for the round trip was about $80. So for under $200 I had a great weekend that was some time away from the kids that I was really in need of![;)][:D]

We just got back from Tenn. and I have found and bought our new house. It has 31 acres and a big stocked pond. 12 of the acres are open pasture land with a nice little hill for backstop and the land drops away from the house so I have a nice setup for my skeet and trap range, and I have a good 200 yd. range with a back stop for my larger rifles. There is deer and turkey all over the place and the guy that we are buying it from has already put in a acre of food plot for deer. The pond is stocked with bass and I want to put trout in it so I am going to find someone that likes to fish with dinamite. Is there any other safe ways to clean a pond out of bass in a hurry?

Long trip! Only a 3 hour drive but traffic sucked! Anyway...I am proud of my daughter! She stood up before 400 retired teachers, read her essay and never missed a beat!

Here is the press release put out this afternoon by the KRTA and AARP.

Doug...sorry I didn't get a chance to call. But I bow down to your wishes, and I just want everyone to know that Oregon is the ugliest state I have ever been to in my life! And all the women have hairy legs! [:D]

Honestly...it was the most beautiful place I have ever seen! If I could afford to pack up and move west, I would be there in a heart beat! Kelsie keep us super busy. Started Monday evening at the Steelhead Brewing Company. I never drink. Haven't had a beer in probably 20 years. But hey, we were re-living old times! So I had 4 of their "Raging Rhino Reds." WOW! Hit me like a sledge hammer! Spend the rest of the night in and out of bars around the University. Thank God my wife doesn't drink and agreed to serve as the "designated driver" for the evening. Don't know how happy she was that her hubby and her ex-roommate got plastered, but she is a good sport! Tuesday, after recovering, drove over to Coos Bay and up hwy 101 to Astoria. Made several stops along the way. Had dinner at the "Cannery Cafe". Great food and wine! Wednesday we drove up I-5 to Mt. St. Helens. Truly an awe-inspiring place! Today all we had time to do was pack up and leave. Had another layover in Phoenix on the way home. [xx(] We are planning on coming back next summer and spend at least a week. We will plan far enough ahead to meet up with a few of you "Oregonites" when we come back.

BTW...did I mention that Oregon is polluted beyond belief? The smog is TERRIBLE! [:p]

Just made it home and now I remember why I had missed this great country of ours soo much. I was able to attend a unit memorial motorcycle ride this weekend and was very surprised to see all the community support, after reading all of the newespaper articles about how thew American Public demands answers for this and that.... again, I am completely in awe. When it matters most, you are all there. Thanks to all of you for your support of our soldiers. It really does make a difference.

PS. Not that anyone asked, but I waved to everyone from my Harley Custom Softail[:D][:D][:D] !!!!!

Congrats! We're neighbors. I live just off I-81, too. Just a little farther north.[:o)]

Sounds like someplace you can hang your hat for a long time.

gjshaw.....How do you feel about adopting an old man who doesn't eat too much and doesn't talk much and would sleep quietly in the corner and would keep you supplied with reloads and fart only occasionally and downwind? [:)][:)]

Sounds like you got a paradise. Now listen, buddy, or, should I call you brother? Listen, brother, I sure would like to come visit you during deer season. I am just over the border in North Carolina.

How will the trout do in the pond over summers? I am curious, don't know anything. I though trout needed cold/cool water. Even the lake trout like the deeper waters...so I thought.

The pond is spring fed and over 16ft. deep so the trout should do well. Thanks Allen for the info on rotenone, I will look into that. I was hoping for a big fish fry with all the bass in the pond if I could find someone with a dinamite liscense. The rotenone says that you can't eat the fish after they are killed because it is a poison or something. Guntech, how far north of me are you? I was thinking of looking for work in the rogersville area. Any good jobs in that area?

haha, the big thing over in rogersville is the factorys. I think TRW is over there. There is some pretty good sized industry there. Check Morristown also.

Greenville has a wal mart distro center[:o)]

I read once in a Army survival manual that you can use the green hulls of black walnut to poison fish to eat. But don't know how much it would take to kill a pond full.

I've seen our local DNR use a boat with a generator in it and electric wires to stun fish for fish surveys in state parks as well. They just troll around until they hit a fish, and when it comes to the top, they scoop it up with a net.

Find some kids and let them clean out all the unwanted fish.
Then have a big fish fry for the neighbors and you could be elected Mayor.
Then kill off the rest of the fish.

Have a GB get together/shoot/fish fry/meet and greet, and hand out fishing poles.[:p] Let us know the date ASAP, so we can plan ahead.
