Major Ice and freezing rain event hammering us here this morning!! It's just plain nasty out there!! Decided to take the day off and set back and watch it by the fire!!! Life is Good!!!

Four work days next week, then off to Harrisburg for the Outdoor show and GB get together! Im wondering who is gonna show up with Swwbo, will it be Punchie, or will it be Rosie???

    Pa,

    We're getting nervous here in NJ. The weather is terrible this year.

    Should we leave today, or wait a little longer before we start out?

    Does Penna have snow plows? What we become of us if we get stranded in a strange land? We may never see NJ again!!! What am I talking about? Let it snow, let it snow, haha.

    Whew! We are just getting rain here, it's 43 and I feel lucky.

    I think it's a hopeless cause. She's gonna see how bad the weather is in Penna next week, but that's not the worse part. [:(]

    She's gonna meet some very strange people next Friday, all of whom live in Penna.
    She'll probably think that everybody in Penna is screwy like the GB gang, LOL. [:D][:D][:D]

    Snow has been coming down here all morning since 4:00 AM. It is supposed to get bad this afternoon when the ice hits.[xx(]

    Was snowing here until about 5 AM, now all ice. Fear not for next weekend will be sunny and mild for the outdoor show and GB get together in Harrisburg......a little birdie told me.[:)]

    PA, Janie is coming down from Ontario Friday morning to the farm and we will be checking into the Country Inn late that afternoon and staying over night.

    We are coming down more for the GunBroker get together than the outdoor show and will be leaving by Saturday noon for the Lancaster/Chester County area for family visits.

    With my back I can only stand about an hour of walking on a hard surfaces and I have been to the show dozens of time before so a peek around inside is good enough for me.

    Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.

    who doesnt cancel school in the weather thats right the University At albany makes there students go, in the am "me" but cancell afternoon classes. To tell ya the truth I can describe whats dropping from the shy right now its not freezing rain but its not snow

    I was off last night thankfuly but the interstate 81 began to freeze around Wytheville at exit 70 for those of you who know the road.And it slowly moved south and it was horrible the interstate was shut down for a coupl hrs.I spoke with a friend who worked last night and he said they were 90+ accidents between Wytheville and Marion.Which is about a 12 Mile stretch.Down here where we live it began iceing on the gutters and lawn decorations,but the roads remained in good shape.VDOT has began useing a liquid form of sodium chloride that they spray and it almost melts snow and ice on contact.They always scattered salt and gravel before,which is hard on vehicles.(Makes them Rust)I bet this liquid their useing is much worse than the old salt shaker.NC just scrapes and puts down sand,unless they have recently changed.Alot of folks dont like the fact VDOT uses salt,but if you keep it washed off your vehicle it cant be that bad.Of course all three of ours is covered in salt but if you washed them they would have salt on them again soon as you hit the street.
