Buzz Aldrin hits harrasser who doesn't "believe"

Buzz Aldrin punched a guy who was dogging him in the street the other day and yelling accusations about the U.S. moon landings. Apparently the guy doesn't believe our manned moon shots ever took place. While that was a popular conspiracy theory 30 years ago, I think the skeptic is a little behind in his research. My guess is Buzz was just accomodating the guy with a Ralph Cramden -- Pow! Zoom! Straight to the moon! -- so the guy could see for himself...

    greetings, boy have you opened a can of worms here, but no matter how you feel about it there are enough "facts" on both sides that warrent a leap of faith. what surprises me is that sceptical people about nearly everything else are so willing to believe this with no varifiable proof. and nasa's quickness to call questioners quacks without answering the problems.. respt submitted dads-freehold

    Dad's freehold- I have given no credence to the skeptics on this subject. You say that NASA dismisses the "questioners as quacks without answering the problems". Is there a web site that addresses any alleged problems? Now it better be good, freehold, because I know a rocket got launched that summer day in 1969. I drove 700 miles and watched it live.

    I saw the tape on Fox. Its a shame that a American (no world) Icon has to endure that kind of harrassment on the street. Mr. Aldrin is a man of a caliber that all of us secretly wish that we were. My only regret was that Buzz didn't have a cue ball in his hand when he swung. Now that would have been a splashdown.

    Aw, don't worry about it freehold, I may look them up someday. I mean I know the govt will tell big lies but the moon walk always seemed legit. I never paid these skeptics any mind.

    greetings again, hey guys i don't believe in just reading one side of an issue no matter how passionate i'm about it, and like i said earlier, the subject isn't my passion, i just think some of the arguements bear merit. if you really want to get into something that interest me besides guns, let's debate tax law , driver liensing, constitution/ bill of rights... to clouder, if they didn't forget that stuff why did they leave billions of dollars of stuff just laying around, that's not very cost effective. now let's put on our thinking caps ( clouder you can borrow mine if you need to) if you wanted to close a program down that was covering up a deception so nobody of importance would ask questions how would you do it? hypothedical ofcourse. respt submitted dads-freehold

    I suppose there is no space station either. Dont you dis-believers think that if it wasn't true the Russians would have had a hayday exposing it as a hoax. Or don't you believe they would have monitored our successes and failures. Duhhhhh.

    Anyway, I sent my "Pow -- Zoom -- Straight to the moon!" comment to several major newspapers via e-mail. If it turns up in the Washington Post or the New York Times, you'll know why.... heheheheh...

    Haven't you people ever heard of psychological warfare? That's what it was all about. Japan just sent a probe to the moon and I'll bet they will find....nothing. Unless the NSA talks them into classifying the surveilance photos.
    The radiation belt between the moon and the earth would of required so much lead to protect the occupants it could of never of been launched. And yes there is a space station, but it lacks one crucial defense. Meteorites can take it out any second because it does not have the protection of the Earth's atmosphere.
    Enough with the argument I'm buying a telescope...a good one.
    Why doesn't NASA post pictures of the U.S. flag still sitting there? Why was the flag flapping on the moon when there is no atmosphere?
    How come the photo's don't show the cross-hatches from the imprinted lines on the camera lenses on the American equipment that was photo'd?

    HAHAHAHAHA Are you serious?

    The flag has a stiffener in it so it will stand out straight in the absence of wind. It was never shown "flapping" but only stiff and motionless. Do you really think if the U.S. Govt. were to try a hoax like that they would forget about no wind on the moon and show photos of a "flapping" flag.

    I think the non-believers may be on to something...MAYBE slavery is a big hoax also. Anybody you know saw it happen?? Any pics?? Who is behind this?? Are the astronauts going to seek reparation in the future?? Me oh my.

    Jimbo there is no radiation outside the planet otherwise satellites and spacemissions, space station couldn't be there. The radiation belt is a ways out there, it's out past I5 you know past the Burger King on the right just before you get to the moon

    In all actuallity I think we have been to the moon, I just like the possibilty that we weren't and it was psychological warfare for the space race. I have a great idea for the moon, just think how mad the world would get if we could somehow color the surface so that from earth every man would look up and see the U.S. flag.
