I tried to delete a post last night, before allen replied and it wouldn't let me. could it be because I had edited my original post? it wasn't anything important or drunken post, just wrong information. is editing a post considered a reply???

Back spacing over all of the written word and leaving nothing or a cute smiley face works for me![:)]
Ever since I mislaid my password for the forums, whenever I want to change or delete a post I just do it through the editing feature.

Was this the thread you wanted to make disappear? Give the word and I can make that happen.
Once a thread is replied to, the OP can no longer delete it. At that point the thread can still be edited by the OP, but only a moderator assigned to the specific forum where the thread was posted, or an administrator, can delete the entire thread. There are some forums where you can go back and delete any thread you started at any point in time, but the Snitz2000 software used by GB does not allow it.

doesn't really matter Mark, as stated I had wrong information in original and when tried to delete it wouldn't let me, no big deal either way, but does my original edit to the post count as a reply?
... but does my original edit to the post count as a reply?
I don't have an answer for that. Although it should not count as a reply, the Snitz2000 software used in these forums has an odd (and very irritating) feature which brings any edit back to the top of the page. This might be considered as a reply.
