I found a WWII Browning High Power with a pretty well worn finish, nazi proofs and matching serial numbers for about $650. The pistol itself has very minor nicks and dings. Sound like a Good price?

These are collectable guns Josh and there are a three variations and a number of sub variations based on proof marking and other stamps. Unless it was one of the early Type I pistols which have tangent rear sights and also have the grip slotted for attaching a shoulder stock I'd be inclined to pass based on the condition of the pistol as you describe it. There are so many variables here that unless I have a complete description of the pistol (seeing it wouild be better) as well as its serial number and all of its stamping and markings there is no way to establish a value. If you are going to develope an interest in purchasing these types of WWII collectable firearms I suggest that you deal only with experienced collectors or dealers who will stand behind what they sell as original and correct. You'll pay more at the start but you run less of a chance of getting burned on your first purchase. After you learn the ropes you can go out on your own, you'll still get burned the first few times but not as badly! members P3skyking and rufe-snow both know these WWII FNs very well and I suggest you post this same question on the experts side and see if they reply and what they have to say.
