Stolen Pickup/Shotgun :(

Yep woke up this morning to find my beloved "green hornet" "4cyl" ford ranger stolen. In it was a 835 ulti mag in full camo. I live out in the country and have never had any problems guess things are changing. I have alerted the proper authorities and did have the serial # for the shotgun, but not much hope at this point.I hope someday to find the maggot that did this. They did however leave my wife's new truck and both boats alone! Guess I have something to be thankful for.

Just alittle P(*&*&# off at this point.

    Sounds like a bummer.

    But...

What year was it? What State are you in? What's the trucks tag number? Any easily seen "identifying charateristics" on the truck? Longbed? Extended cab? Bed liner? Cap?

What's the serial number on the shotgun?

You don't have to answer any of these, but a little BOLO to the member here could only help...

Odds are the shotgun will be converted into cash quickly so somebody can feed his habit, the truck will probably be abandoned--you'll get it back, but probably in a condition you won't like.

Many years ago I had 4 guns stolen, I had the ser# for them. The police returned one of them. Of course it was the one that I could not have cared less about.Probably just a punk out for a joy ride. Good luck.

Sorry for your loss but I believe the thief will be found after all chose a ford ranger over a new truck, says a lot for the IQ of this thief.

PS--I own a ranger and do not believe anyone would steal it with a sign on it with the keys in it.

    For sale:

96 ford ranger regular cab 4x2 green. Needs one new tire, but the other 3 are in good condition. This truck was inherited by me from my wifes step father who was a good hunting buddy of mine. I do not have the title, but I can throw in a 835 Ulti Mag Advantage Timber for your trouble in filing for a lost title for the truck, the gun was his too. Would like $3,000.00 or best offer, in a hurry, I'm in need of some meth. Call 867-5309 ask for Bud.

    Ryan, I would hope that your poking fun at the situation and not the fact that I lost my truck and a good shotgun. I know the ranger is not worth much and the 835 is sure not a Benelli. However the items belonged to me and my wife and im sure not happy about it! As far as you being low on meth, Im sure an E-6 of your stature can find it on post :}

Hoping something like this doesn't happen to you.

    Wow this sucks.

If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.

Ryan I would like to apoligize "sp?" for my remarks, you just caught be off guard and at a bad time. I do see the humor in your post now :)

Anyway after doing alittle ground work, and with the help of a Oklahoma Highway Patrol Plane I got the ranger back. It has been wrecked but is drivable. The shotgun is still missing however I do believe that some maggots have it and our local posse with find it in the next few days! I will post more later however the investagation is ongoing at this point. Its late and im pooped :)

Anyway thank you all for your posts..

I've got a run down S-10 that I don't think anyone would ever steal, but I should be prepared and leave my old shotgun behind the seat with the barrel plugged up about half way. Now that's a anti-theft device that would have some kick to it.

I don't think there is anything much worse than a sorry thief. I try every night to lock up as many of those scumbags as i can. Hope you find your gun and truck soon unharmed.
