I really thought I was here all alone, until I saw you reply to a post a few minutes ago. Can't seem to do the whole sleep thing tonight. Gives me a chance to price 10mm's though; you have a great deal of responsibility to bear in my quest to aquire one I might add [;)]

Got a quick question for you, oh wise technical guru [;)]

I was working on a system earlier today, and I had the case open digging around to see what I had to work with in terms of brining it "up to date".

Well, I discovered that it was actually a decent rig, just needs a memory upgrade, as it's running on 128 megs of ram. Now, here is the problem; I can't figure out what the speed rating is on the ram. I can tell it's DDR from the way the chips built, but there are no marking to indicate if it's 2200, 2700, etc....And I know it's not efficient to mix and match; so is there any way to run a speed check on the ram, or somehow bring up the stats in-system.

    Thanks.

I am popping in occasionally, but I'm getting ready to go to bed. We're gonna go out of town Tuesday and I don't want to get my schedule off course TOO much.
Spectre7, I'd love to help ya find a 10mm you like. I am 100% sold on them. In fact, I've written the department of Wildlife in Kansas to add them to thier legal cartridges for hunting.
If you want to try 'em out relatively inexpensively, I'd try a E.A.A. Witness, they have 2 sizes I think. S&W made them in their 10xx series (with the best, and former FBI gun being the 1076). Colt made them in their 1911 style gun in the Delta Elite, Delta Gold Cup, and a few other variants that don't come to my mind at 3 AM. [;)] Glock also makes the 10mm in the model 20 (that's what I have) and the compact model 29. The 10 can be had in quite a few different guns. I don't have the computer on right now that had the links for a great 10mm site that told about it and what manufacturers made them in a 10mm.
0311, no, I didn't get the stickers. In fact, I was just thinking that I hadn't gotten memory from a give away a while back. I also won a Ruger 10/22 stock something like 6 months ago but the user is gone. I wonder if something came up and they left. Nice guy, I wish he was still on GB.

Yeah, the Witness series is what I'm looking at now. I'm actually torn between the Compact with the 3.5 barrel, and the Full-size with the 4.5 inch barrel. Got me wondering what kind of effect on velocity/accuracy the shorter barrel would have, as well as the smaller, lighter body on recoil *not that I'm terribly recoil sensitive*. Fortunately, even the compact supports a 10-rnd mag, so capacity isn't an issue [:D]

For me, my "pinky" finger hangs off the bottom on compacts. It does it on the compact Witness and also the Glock 29. I was thinking real serious about the Witness for my concealed carry. I still haven't decided yet. On the other hand, the Glock 29 will take my model 20's magazines (and I have something like 15 high cap's).
Also, if you're a revolver guy S&W also makes the 610 revolver that shoots both .40 S&W and 10mm.

    Here's my 10mm:

It's funny how it colored some stuff. The cartridges I have loaded are the Hydroshocks and they have a nickel case but in the picture it looks gold for some reason.

Well, I am really going to bed now [|)]
