Model 710, Any body tryed them? They come with scope, scope rings and syn. stock. Bolt locks up in Barell like a singel shot. only 2 cal, 270 and 30-06. The price of them are reasonable. Have not heard any feed back about them.[:0][:0]

Thanks a lot Bobby, I sure missed that post. With all the negatives, may be I should stay away from them, I know the scopes are cheap, that can be changed. has any body tryed bedding them? or making up a load that they might like? seems like nobody has gave them a chance, or have I missed another post?

I've heard good and bad about the Rifles, but more good than bad.I shot the 30-06 and from the bench at 100yrds it shot 1 1/2 inch groups and thats ok for me.My only complaint is the trigger, but a good gun smith can remedy that. For the money I would rather have the Weatherby Vanguard its guranteed to shoot MOA out of the box(and there about the same price)but Im some what partial to the Weatherby's.

You would be better served by buying a Howa or weatherby vanguard (made by howa).

why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

You'll also find that some dealers won't take them on trade!

A buddy of mine bought a stainless/synthetic 30-06 Howa and it shot 3/4" from a bench (with a bipod and monopod) with the very first brand of ammo he fed it. I almost went and sold my Remington 700 and take the money difference and get a few other guns...
I wouldn't have one of the new 710's - I'd opt for a Howa, Savage, or a used gun.
