Ruger Carbine & bruised shoulder!?!?

I fired 55 rounds from my Ruger PC-4 carbine today. Thats 55, 180 grain rounds of .40 S&W from a rifle. Does this really have that much of a kick that it should bruise a fella's shoulder? Sure as heck doesn't seem like it. I am not talking * and blue bruise, just little speckled type bruising.
I have had a lot of neck/shoulder pain & tenderness lately(along with headaches), so I guess I am just trying to figure out if this may be related in some way.
On the positive side, I fired 2 different factory loads then I did the first time out and both functioned and performed well. They were 180 grain FMJ's from Independence and Remington-UMC.

Mine would fire any kind of round you put in it without a hitch.
If you were practicing real world situations, you could get bruised from shouldering your weapon rapidly.
Alternatively, you could be out of shape and fat bruises easily, like a baby...
maybe yur just tender[:D]
LMAO, that there is funny. [:D][:D]
Replies as usual are priceless. [:D]

friend of mine had a Charles Daly shotgun that actually seemed to magnify recoil, I have no idea what was up with it. I have shot 200 rounds of 3.5" mags goose hunting in Cananda a few years ago and was sore but I swear it still didn't hurt as much as that stupid Charles Daly.
