Rifle slings

Who makes a good rifle sling (two point attachment) that would be good for all weather hunting? What is your favorite?

For all weather leather is not best.

Lately been buying mine on ebay. Different ones for dif guns. Most are made in China. But they are a good value.

Yes, they are leather, but I oiled them down and have not had any issues in three years of hunting.

I use the ones with the thick nylon web strap. Ultra sling I think they're called. I had a leather one break once. Down went a loaded 308. The safety was still on when I picked ot up. To be fair, I never oiled it where it needed oiled. It was one of those with a pad stitched onto the strap. That's right where it ripped.

Galco Safari Ching sling. Its two point and Great for carrying and can be used right into the shooting position with no need for adjustment. Comes in brown or black leather. I put some neatsfoot oil on it at the end of each season and it iseems strong as ever.

I'll second the Blue Force Vicker's sling, the padded version works for me. Great sling, ended up buying three more after trying one out.

A sling for a rifle is like a holster for a pistol; handy, sturdy, lightweight & simple.
I use the SKS/AK green canvas ones with the leather keepers & tabs, unless it's a 550 paracord weave with key rings on both ends. I even have one carbine with a leather belt for a sling.
I don't foresee a situation where I must quickly transition from carrying to firing, so a 2 point attachment is fine with me.
The Galco is surprisingly well made, and if I had to buy another sling; it would be a tossup between USGI leather or the Galco.

Had a Uncle Mikes Cobra since 1964 on my pre-64 70 FW. Climbed a lot of mountains in the Adirondacks with it. Never let me down and never a tired shoulder. Still going strong.

Verovellini (or however you spell it). They are the neoprene type and are wide across the top of your shoulder and thinner lower so you can still put your hands on it. I have had a couple of them over 20 years now and still look and work great. The leather ones I got then are showing their age. I have either a butler creek or uncle mike's sling that works, but it slides off much more often than the Vero does. If only they made a thumbhole version of the one I have I would be in love!!!
