Oklahoma City-AP -- Investigators apparently believe there may be a videotape of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.

In fact, authorities searched a Virginia man's home for such a tape.

John Culbertson works as a consultant in Washington and once advised congressmen on the Oklahoma City blast and on the fire that ended the Branch Davidian siege in Waco. Officials looked through his home in Centreville, Virginia, on Friday.

Culbertson says only that authorities did not find the tape they were seeking.

An affidavit supporting the search says that a Dallas attorney saw the video on Culbertson's computer more than five years ago. That lawyer says the tape showed the building before the blast, then a small glow and a ball of fire rising.

If such a tape does exist, it could be used in the state prosecution of convicted conspirator Terry Nichols.
