I stopped at a store and the clerk wanted my wife to sign up for a drawing for $100. She read the card that required you address and phone number and found that you were signing up for a new long distance service for your home phone. The clerk was upset as he had put his name in the drawing 3 times.

Also I receive a check in the mail quite often for anywhere from $2.50 to $10.00, on the back of the check in small letters you are signing up for money to be charged to your credit card. Insurance companies use this scam by sending injured people checks with a waiver on the back where you sign that says you have been paid in full for injuries.

    You gotta watch them.
