After 15 years in Lancaster, that was enough for me! Yeah, it can be pretty, but no thanks! I like green nowadays!

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!

oh all the great desert memories... Big wall of sand hundreds of feet tall moving towards ya. Raining during the sand storms...

Lived in central or southern Arizona a good forty years. I'm tired of it. Wish I could get out of this desert and move back to someplace green. Spent a couple of years in Colorado, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs. Be great to live along the Front Range, have the mountains and wilderness in the back yard.

Now if I could just convince my employer to move there AND export Arizona's gun laws to Colorado it'd work out perfectly!

Some how I don't miss the desert at all. Maybe because I live in it. It is great to go east and see all the big trees. And in a few days I start getting claustrophobic and want to see the moutains 70 miles west of the sunroom. Nope, I don't miss it at all.[^]

I must just have it in my Blood cause even 29 Palms was not bad for me. Except the Lake.

I grew up in Missouri, it got as hot there as it does here in the desert (well, OK I live in high elevation desert), and it also had humidity. 110F and 95% humidity is WAAAAAAAY worse that 110F and 13% humidity.

I used to work with a guy who said how much he missed Texas. He got so bad at this, that one day I said, "If you miss it so bad, why don't you go back?" His reply was that he was saving up his money to go back to Texas. Sure enough a couple of months later he quit and went back to Texas. After about a month he was back working with me again. He never said another word about Texas again.
