Bought a new (used) Smith .38

I've really got to stay out of gun shops, especially ones I don't work at. Been drooling over a Smith & Wesson 637 Air Weight 38spl at a local shop, for months now. Dropped by at lunch & put some money on it. It's used in almost perfect condition. Got it for $359 + tax. Guy I work with at the shop has one that he carries in a pocket holster. It is so amazingly light. Looks like this, incase you don't have the S&W catalog memorized.

You guys get anything new recently?

A friend of mine had an uncle who committed suicide with that gun. My friend was given the gun by the police after everything was all over. I thought of buyng it from him for my wife to carry but never could really get myself to ask him. He'll never shoot it.

Drobs, I know the urge. I'm looking at a S&W 686 with 4" bbl at nearby pawnshop - $200.00. Stainless. fairly clean with a few light nicks, not S&W stocks, rubber Pachmayer or something like them I think. I don't want to want it but I've handled it twice in the last week. I've been trying to talk some of my friends into getting it so I won't have to. My wife says, "That's sick." I said, "I know."

I was really hoping someone else would've bought this Smith so I wouldn't have to. The salesman got me on the oldest trick in the book. Placed the 4473 infront of me. I no choice but to fill it out. [:D][:D]

I have carried an airweight S&W for many years. Carry it most of the time as a "second gun" backup to my 40 caliber Glock. I always preferred a second gun to a second clip.

I think I must have a little attension deficit disorder. There's so many things I want like a Century HK or Cetme, some Kirst Conversion Cylinders, & those cowboy guns. But I wind up buying this Smith. Oh well there's always that next paycheck.
