Has anyone ever dealt with this company? www.a-merc.com Their prices are pretty good and they offer free shipping. They have a bullet that they call 'complete copper coated'. I thought that was just a fancy name for FMJ, but they offer FMJ loadings also. Has anyone had any experience with this company or with Complete copper coated bullets?

Well from what I know the CCC bullet is similar to a TMJ (total metal jacket) they are used alot in indoor ranges because they have no exposed lead. This is to reduce lead exposure. I have never used any so I dont know how well it shoots.

Merc hit it on the head....There is a reason it is cheap.......

I have shot it in 9mm and .40..Dirty and several failures to fire in each box.

Got a bud that was shooting it in .45acp. The brass was so thin that it dented on chambering and he had a ton of jams.

I had to let him shoot some of my ammo.

Not good ammo. My father-in-law used to have some in his shop.
They were cheap but they were junk.
The CCC bullet is an electrostatic process not a swegging process like FMJ.
    It is just electrostatically plated.
Makes a mess in the barrel after a bunch of fired shots.

Total garbage, even the brass is poor quality.

I never had a problem with their .40S&W. Thin brass might be a problem if you reloaded it, but for one-shot use, it makes no difference. I haven't had any problem with the copper coating, either. Yes, the stuff is dirty, but I clean after each trip to the range, so a little more soot on my rag is no biggie.

As far as I can tell, it's reliable and accurate enough for plinking and practice, and the price is right, sometimes even cheaper than Wolf.
