I love these rifles and have them on a saved search. I got one from Kasey a few months back for $400 + fees. Apparently a couple guys got in a bidding war over this one.
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

Great rifle for the NH woods.
    I have a 1971 Deluxe (integral peep)
    and I wouldn't sell it for $1k.
Accuracy is minute of deer at 100yds.
In the NH woods, that's a long, long shot.

I had one in 1976 and wish I'd never sold it. This is one of those guns that Ruger should bring back. I think they'd sell well, especially if offered in 454 Casull also.

They are one of my favorites also along with the 99/44 that has the rotary magazine. The thing about the one listed in your link is it doesn't have the barrel band and doesn't have the mannlicher stock. It looks like the International model which would have the mannlicher stock but that is definately not a mannlicher. My guess would be that is not the factory stock but I'm no expert. They are great guns and lots of fun to shoot.

I saw one on the table at the Kingsport, TN gun show and they said would let it go for $550 and I don't think it sold.

I wanted one since about 5 minutes after they stopped making them in the 80s... Got one about 15 years ago on a trade - traded my old D&D books (including the DM Guide signed by Gary Gygax) for one in great shape with a coworker - He got it on a deal for a bunch of reloading equipment (which is what he was after) along with the 44 carbine and a '06 bolt gun.

Unfortunately, I let the wife shoot it so she thinks it is hers.

Back when they came out I got one and tried shooting Semi wad cutters and a disaster and then came JHP and made a shooter out of it. It wasn't anything special in my opinion but some like them

Bought one back in 1970 (I think it was) and she cost me $175.00. Wish I still had her. Great shooter and great swamp deer gun.

Final bid $960.55 with 13 bidders. WOW and I've seen Rugers with much nicer wood. Looks clean but at 1k with shippiping and FFL, ouch somebody wanted that one bad

I'm watching this one and wishing I had the money to spare to bid again. $500 was all could go.
