With the prices these days how many of you buy bulk food? We do, I have a food savier vacumm and use that to cut quantities down and freeze the extra.

Rather boring topic i know, but have you seen some of the jokes tonight? utoh[:D]

Toolbabe has been buying bulk for years. The bad thing about it is. She cooks it and I eat it[:p][:p][:p][:p][:p][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Just checking, but according to the DWS school of replying to post, If you were to puchase a can of beans, being that there is more than one bean, you are a purchaser of bulk food. Just for clarification. Don [}:)][}:)][:D]

I buy bulk, sometimes it costs me $0.15 sometimes $1.00, depending on what gun I use, 50 to 75# of meat right now. Bulk meat shopping[:D][:D][:D]

Most/manny? of us who grew up in the country have always done so.
We have a walk-in closet next to the kitchen that looks like a small grocery store! We may be broke, but we will have food for the table in good times and bad.

If it doesn't spoil easy or quick, my lady buys everything in quanity. Prices are much better in the long run.

Three freezers, two large pantries makes sense that we'd also have a closet just for tp.

The wife and I buy in bulk all the time. items that take a while to make like lasan-u ( ok I can't spell it) she makes in pans then we freeze it and vacum pack it. Gumbo Chili Stew just to name a few, are done the same way. it is hard to make just enough for two people.
Rice beans flour and GRITS keep forever in a vacumm package

Guess I do as well...I get the family pkg of chicken, chops, hamburger etc...then divide it up myself...Make chili, stews casseroles, and make enough for a number of meals and then freeze it...
As for veggies?...I buy fresh usually but will get quite a bit and freeze them as well...

As for cereals etc?..No, dont eat enough of that stuff to warrant it...

No one in this house buys food period. What is the opposite of buying "Bulk food"? Maybe I should start that thread.
