I figured if Ol'Ruger wasn't lookin' any better by the time I got home yesterday,I'd plan on takin' him in this mornin'.I talked to a lot of locals yesterday that have been through this at one time or another. They all said the same thing;"He'll be alright."
As chance would have it,my Vet came into the shop late yesterday and he more or less said the same thing.
He hadn't eaten that I know of in two days so I picked up 4 cans of chicken and rice soup figurin' that if he would get one down, things were lookin' up.
Well,4 cans of soup and about a pound of BBQ brisquet(my supper)later,he's a happy camper.[:D]Looks like *,but that will pass.

Thanks to all for your input!!

Ruger sends his thanks too![^]

Glad to hear he is doing better. You should still keep a close check on him for several days because a nasty abcess may form. Good luck.

Glad to hear it one of the Officers I work with grew up in Buchanan County near Kentcky I think. He said that place was full of copperheads. When he was a teen he said he spent alot of time with his grandmma,he said you would see one of the cats out in the yard pawing at something. He said while one would get the shovel to kill it, the cat would jerk its paw back and take off limping. And he never knew of one to die from the snake bite.

good to hear that he will be alright

My old man's backhand used to land,
Hard on the side of my head.
I just learned to stay out of his way.
    There's been streetfights, blue lights,
Long nights with the world sittin' on my chest:
It just showed me how much I could take.
    Hard times, bad luck.
    Sometimes, life sucks.
    That's all right, I'm ok.
It ain't nothin' but another day.
