Just wondering how many of you guys enjoy puffing on a good cigar from time to time.I like the Arturo Fuente 858's personally.(is this related to the smoking jacket club?)

Alas, my cigar smoking in Honduras (where I could get great gars real cheap) has turned me into a snob. I don't smoke 'em unless I can't afford 'em and that means I don't smoke 'em. I steady diet of Port Royals with the occasional Romeo y Julieta really got me spoiled and now I'm finicky. I don't think I've had a single cigar since March of 1999 because I won't smoke any of the ones that I can afford. I would love to pick up some good cigars to store in a humidor for those "special occasions" but it just seems like too much money going up in smoke. I don't know why this doesn't keep me from my Marlboros because it's the same principle. Some people say they smoke because they're addicted. I've been smoking on and off for about six years now and I do it, not because it would be too terribly hard to quit, but because I truly enjoy the experience. I choose not to disgrace the memory of the last good cigar I had at midnight on the Carribean beach of Costa Rica while watching luxury cruise ships and the Dole bannana boat float by against the night sky. I think I experienced heaven on earth while sitting on that waterworn piece of driftwood. Thank you for bringing back such a fond memory.

I enjoy about 4-5 all tobacco, hand-rolled cigars a week. I had quit for 8 years but as i got older (50) I decided I'd trade off any extra life for the contentment of a good smoke. You can get good cigars for $1 from JRcigars - just type it in on search -plus he writes a humorous catalogue. I occasionally pay a couple bucks for a Henry Clay. I've had two real Havannas but I didn't think they were worth the money. Many of the Dominicans and Nicaraguans are just as good for 75% less money.

Can't believe that Bullzeye hasn't chimed in on this! For myself, I must admit to being a bit of a barbarian. My idea of a good cigar is a Swisher Sweet, wood tip. Yeah, I know, I know!

I love 'em, but my smoking days are over. Had pneumonia a month ago, followed by a small heart attack 8 days ago. On top of that, they diagnosed me with type 2 diabetis while I was in the hospital last week. No fat, no sugar, no alcohol, no smokes, no cafine. When they say no sex or guns, I'm a goner!

AHHHHH the Fuente Hemmingways!!!!!!! But will admit that the best was a Padron Annvesario 1969 special edition made for the 2000 year break. Where pricey but soooo good. Monticristo Churchill is another good smoke.

My favorite, economical cigar is Don Mateo's in 6" x42ga. Or I like Bacaratts short & fat. I also like smoking my pipe, but I haven't yet found a preferable tabacco.

I just recieved 3 boxes of
    cigars for Christmas![8D]

And one box was some of those Nasty ones from that little Island south of Miami.[:D]

If I don't stop getting these things, I'm gonna have to buy another Coleman cooler to store them in.[:o)][:p][:)]

Let's take a look in the humidor...

    Don Diego - Playboy Churchills
    Cohiba - Dominican Chruchills
Romeo y Julietta - Dominican Torpedos
Romeo y Julietta - Medallas de Oro Vintages
    A. Fuente - Gran Reservas
    Thompson - Assorted cheap smokers

I have had some of these over 10 years, always climate and humidity controlled.

My favorite? Hmmmm... Probably the Cohibas, maybe the Romeo torpedos...

    HdM double coronas.[:p]

    Nice mild yet complex smoke.

I also got a box of Maria Mancini Magic Mountain Maduros, and a box of the new Gran Habano Corojo #5 robustos. Them is some yummy cigars.

The MMMM's are a tasty everyday smoke.

    quote:A. Fuente - Gran Reservas

Smoked one a few days ago, haven't found a Fuente I don't like. Had a Cohiba XV last night and a Rocky Patel 12yr too. My cigar supplier turned me on to the Patels, good smoke and not to pricey

    Love them Beavers
