First off I was wonderering how it is going with your Dad.Hope all is well there for him.If I were terminally ill,I know I would be glad to be at home.My Father died at the Hospital in a surrounding that I know was very unpleasant for him.His last few days he was not able to talk but I know that he knew there was a slim hope of being well again,and would have been a lot happier at home.I know I feel guilty now of not taking him home.

I learned how to post pictures a few days ago and wanted to show a pic. of my first and only attempt at Scrimshaw on a Powderhorn I put together from a set of horns my Aunt sent me about 50 years ago.I bought the Brass Fittings and turned the Walnut on my lathe, from a Walnut Tree in my Parents Back Yard.I did the Whipping on the Strap,and finish work on it and then the Scrimshaw.

I like to show it off when I get the chance.I was pretty proud of it.I remember telling you I would send pictures someday after I learned how.This Computor Stuff is hard for me.

    I got a goofy question, As I was thumbing through my Cabelas Shooting catlog on the throne this morning, I was looking at the differant typs of Black powder bullets and noticed some bullets are knurled and some are not.

    What does the Knurling do for the bullet?

    Do you do those reenactment things, or know someone that does, I got a bunch of patches, most of which are from PA, skirmish, and the like, from confederate outfits.

Opened the mail and had 91 emails, have not had that many since aol was trying to tell me I needed [:I]viagra[:0] and vicodin[:p]I am looking at about 4 or 5 of my own pics to send to you.     saw your post on one of the shotguns i picked up, they are both single shots, one 12 guage, the other a 20 guage. [:D] not to bad after I cleaned em up.

    The dates we set for the trip are good to go. I will send you a map in a day or two as well as my cell number.

    Oct 13, I will be arriving at the camp late evening.

    You can meet me there or follow me up from say,,, OKAHUMPKA rest area. We can firm up the details next week.

    I am still working on the dates for 7mmnut, we spoke recently and I am trying to get him there at the same time as you but I dont know if it will happen.

    Yep your right, guess I got a little carried away, but, I irks me when someone tells me "Like it is" when they havent "been there done that" and when their hand is called, they resort to telling you how stupid you are, for them not being able to back up what they are talking about..You know what I mean, Like the Viet Nam hero that was never in the service..........

    Met up with JODY and his wife and their friend over at the show sunday, Real nice people, didnt get to spend much time jawin as would have liked to, they wanted to see everything, then and to scoot back down to PJ,

    My father is home and sleeps much of the time. He is very weak as should be expected. Seems he gets somewhat weaker each day. He is happier, many of his friends come to visit. I'm on my way over there in a few minutes.

    The horn and Scrimming is very good. Something to be treasured by your ?kids? or family or a friend should you pass it on to others.
