JUJU, it's getting closer!

I went on my routine * hunt last night and noticed something different in the air. I could see my breath again! Temps in the upper 40s last night, got the goose bumps started. I could breat better and had a yearing for walking into the woods and climbing a tree. Some of the leaves in the mountains have started to change, not much but they are changing. Ahhh yes, archery season is fast approaching brother!!![:D] Now I can't wait for the first frost, it will act on me like the moon on a rutting buck, I CAN'T WAIT FOR FALL TO GET HERE!!!!!!

    7mm, its still 90 in the shade here in Fla and last I heard it was in the 80's in Georgia. But have no fear, it is getting closer. Your gonna have to bring clothes for all types of weather when we go. That time of year it could be 90 or it could be 20 degrees. And thats from day to day. Tough to hunt GA in archery/blackpowder season cause you never know what the weather will do. Last year my first 3 days of archery it rained continusiously and then cleard up on sunday and got to 88 degrees, Monday morning I got up to go out to my stand and it was 38 degrees and got up to 76 before the day was over. How in heck do you dress for that? On another note, the fields have cotton planted right now but we have our food plots in (peas and rye) so all should be good come season.
    JuJu (oh and my friend up there tells me the bucks are shedding their velvet as we speak)

    Juju, I'll show ya how to dress for that kind of weather, when you see me get ready to march into the woods you may laugh. I carry a fanny pack as well as a backpack attached to me tree stand, I look like a soldier going to a fight somewhere but everything I need as well as extra clothing and a place to put that extra clothing is on my back or hanging from the stand. I don't mess around, I get serious[:D][:D]

    There was a nice cool feeling in the air this morning when I went outside. I think it was about 65 degrees. It immediately put me in the mood to go walking in the woods!!

    Well then I guess you two won't think I look too stupid with my possibles bag, rifle, gunbelt, tripod stool, hat, vest, other vest, coat, canteen and snack bag huh?[:D]
