Does anyone have the Taurus model or ever fired one?What is the recoil like in such a small gun from this round?

I had one, it saved my life, recoil was pretty bad, though. Accurate little piece for a snubbie.

Would you say it was worse than firing a .357Magnum of the same size.Im glad to hear you survived but am still sorry you had to experience something like that.

Like I said the recoil was pretty bad, worse than any .357. It was worse than my charter arms .44spl bulldog.

I did like the gun, overall, it was a great little gun. Yea, it was a lot of bullet for such a small gun, but it was worth it. I was using soft cast 300gr (roughly) slugs in handloaded cartridges. The recoil on factory loads was pretty bad but what I had it loaded with was even worse. But the soft cast conical slugs when they hit the guy and they dug them out during the autopsy they had flattened out to about the size of a Kennedy fifty-cent piece according to the detective. They dug all 5 rounds out of him, none of them shot clean through.

WOW! i'm really shocked that none of them went through! where did you make the hits? all in the chest?

Point blank, chest and abdomen. Got to remember though...these were very soft hand cast slugs....they flattened out pretty good. Was the same stuff I usually run through an SAA with BP loads...I just stuck them in a standard smokless load.
