    At $28, too expensive anyway.

Gone almost instantly. Cost/value is a judgment call, but finding anything less than $3 per 50 rounds at a gunshow or on a store shelf is an exercise that falls somewhere between challenging and frustrating.[:(]

You do realize it's pointless to post such a thing, right?. By the time you hit "Post" it's sold out.

I think it's going to take at least 3-4 more years for the shortage to end. In the meantime, prices will be ridiculous if not downright criminal (like $40 for a 225 count box).

I would have bought some more had it been in stock. All of my .22s that shoot HV really like Blazer.

Price is relative - make every shot count and it is still a bargain compared to shooting anything else.

The truth is that as long as you are willing to "live with it" it will never change.

The truth is that production is still far below demand, even if at all time highs, and the free market dictates that price will rise until it coincides with demand at that price.

I still think that ammo manufacturers are missing the boat here. Namely, that there is a new order of things, and that demand is NOT going to go down, at least not to where it was. A whole host of new gun owners create higher demand, as does a new mentality.

    Production needs to rise.

As long as people keep buying .22LR ammo at ridiculous prices, the bastids who are siphoning it out of the system to resell at ridiculous prices will keep doing it. It is supply and demand in its purest form.

Until we stop paying these prices, we'll keep paying these prices. I can't say it any plainer.

Stop buying. Tell those gun show scalpers to shove their ammo up their...noses. If you have to do without for a few months, that's the price you'll have to pay to keep from -- well, paying the price.

    Demand needs to drop.

I have not bought .22LR ammo since December 20, 2012.

Of course, it took until the end of January, 2014 to arrive.

But some morons will continue to pay the outrageous prices, and we will never, ever get any.

    cheaper than the unavailable stuff.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain
