Let me email you some of mine. [:D] I had to bulk up years ago (don't have that problem anymore), I ate a lot of hi-fat food (double hamburgers worked for me) and hi-calorie foods like ice cream. Soda pop also adds empty calories.
You didn't say what type of workouts you do, if it is for strength training then I wouldn't change it but if it is more of an aerobic type excercise you could likely help a little by altering it some.

Ditto what bambihunter said about the work out. Fewer reps with more wieght, make sure it's non-aerobic (you actually DON'T want to kick the metabolism into high gear). If you are weight lifting, it may mean a much longer work out. Take a breather in between sets, get your breath and relax before starting back in to it.

As for foods, high protein and high starch. Pasta with meat sauce, pizza, etc. As long as you are working out, you can ad it to the biceps and pecs[:)] instead of the buddha boobs and not-so-lovely handles[xx(].

I was the same way 25 years ago.I lifted weights and atea special shake every day.It was 2 raw eggs with ice cream, black strap molasses,1 banana, and powdered tigers milk(Powdered protein).I think thats everything.I put on the weight but it made me want to puke.I can get the same results today with pizza and beer. The only problem is I only bulk up in the belly with the current diet.

0311 had the same problem a few years ago tryed a program called cyborgenics I think, anyway they had two power suplements one was to lose one was to gain. the gain solution worked. the key is to count calories. minium of 4000 per day, 6000 every two or three days. this will be tough without some high cal powder supplement. you can expect to see lbs. in about three weeks. don't let the calories drop period.

being a person who has fought my weight all my life I would have to ask why in the He*l would you want to ????? be happy that you are on the other end and can eat what you want and stay thin ,, don't take the cahnce of screwing something up and ending up on the heavy side like me,, its no fun[:(]

Just wait a little while and you will gain. I went from 138 when in high school and a few years past. Then when I got older weight was coming at about 3 pounds a year. Do the math. I went on a diet at 210. and now weight a comfortable 180.

What do you need the pounds for? Every lifter I know winds up getting fat when they get older because the muscle goes soft. You should appreciate what you've got, in my opinion. I sure wish I had your problem. Seems to me DeNiro bulked up on pasta and ice cream for RAGING BULL and he never was able to get all the weight off afterward. Sad. If your metabolism is that efficient, I'd take advantage of it and not try to override it. I was 155 out of high school, and only 165 while working out 3 times a week at Bruce Connors' gym in L.A. in college. At 178 with a few extra beers I looked fat anyway. I stopped drinking and kept up the workouts and managed to stay fit up to the age of about 45 by doing my routine at the gym 3 times a week. I even passed the local sheriff's office physical at 42 (got cut anyway, probably for age). By then I was somewhere around 185. Now, after not exercising for several yeras due to some creeping crud arthritic stuff, My Body Mass Ratio puts me in the "obese" weight class around 220. It's easier to stay thin than get thin. Count your blessings.

I agree with those who said give it time. I lift and run on a daily (alternating) basis (i dont run real far though). In two years, just from the lifting, i went from 210 to 245 (im 6'5" though). Granted, two years is quite a while, but i think its better than messing around with your diet and shakes.

I posted a topic about creatine a while back becuase a bunch of friends talked about it, and while it seems like it works for most, i got the impression its not always safe.

Find a good wieghts program, and stick to it. Youll be suprised. Just be patient.

May I ask why it is that you are trying to gain weight? Had I known I would have given you the 15 I just lost. Well if I could give you the remaining 15 I would. But seriuosly I wish I could be of some help. Perhaps you could call a gym or some place like that. They may have someone who can give you some tips.

Sorry i forgot to mention i did use protien shake mix for a while. I used that from about 210 lbs to probably 230 or 235. Not sure how much of a factor it was. Stopped using them and gained the rest on my own.

Come to my house for a few months. Go to work with me and you can forget all about lifting weights. I'll guarantee you'll put on ten lbs. a month and be a dangerously strong individual.

    Mexican food worked for me.

Lots of refried beans, flour tortillas, salsa verde, picante sauce, carne asada, pollo con arroz, more beans, cheese, flan, tacos, taquitos, burritos, burros grande....well, you get the idea!

Good luck, if that's what you really wnat to do!

Underwater welding? Salvage school? I've never heard of those things. But got tired of people calling you skinny? That I understand clear as crystal, but in the opposite way. I got tired of guys looking at my * all the time. HA! Chocolate, carbs, sugary snacks, beer... sounds great if you're strictly trying to gain lbs. But are you trying to gain muscle? I know you lift and what not, but perhaps you need to change the way you lift. maybe your body has gotten used to your regimen. Maybe you need to challenge yourself a little more. Otherwise... the chocolate and beer thing sounds fun.
