I'd like to make a quick trip back to 1949.[:D][:D][;)]

Reminds me of looking through old copies of American Rifleman, and seeing that ad for trapdoor Springfields for $1.50.[8D]
As a kid in the '60's, I was able to quote the price on most of the products advertised in the magazine.......
$49.50 with return...
Makes a guy wanna weep..[:(]
Transmission, complete.$55.50 "outright".

Yeah, me too.[:(]
In 1949, many of the bigger items would have taken an entire week's pay. 75 cents an hour salary didn't go far.
Hence the reason I need a time machine.[:D]
Ask Mr. Peabody and Sherman! [:D]
About that same time you could buy a P-51 for $5000, but a DC-3 was $75,000
$5000 for a P-51?
I wish I hadn't read that.[V]

Do the math! [;)][:D]
$1 worth of 1949 dollars is now worth $9.62..............

Yeah, but that takes all the fun out of it![:p]
