Last December got a rescue dog, young female Presa Canario that had been abused. Acted scared of about everything.

Since then she has put on almost 20 pounds and is coming around, starting to play with the other dog and cats, now carries her tail up high, not tucked down between her legs, starting to show affection and give it out too.

This morning wife was in the back bedroom on the computer, dog was somewhere in the house, I went back to talk to the wife. Dog was sleeping in the sun coming in the window. She woke up lunged at me and barked, startled the heck out of me, glad she recognized me before she got all the way to me, she was ready to protect her mama.

Generally a very humble obedient dog that tries real hard to please her humans. Believe that she will do just fine for a home alarm and protection system. Weighs right at 100 pounds now.

How does a window alarm system work--there are 2 units, one on each side of the window. The one fastened to the wall has 2 wires leading to it while the one on the window itself has nothing attached to it. I guess it is some sort of sensor, but how does it work? How does the circuit get broken/closed? An inquiring mind wants to know. [;)]

It's not what you know that gets you in trouble, it's what you know that just ain't so!

Yep, don't discount them. Even the friendly ones that we all claim "would help a burgler load up the car". When the chips are down they're right there layin' down thw law. Have had it happen at our house on two occasions over the years.
