House filtering system ?

I have a small house on about 80 acres of land up in the hills of Arkansas. The water has a high content of iron. I have a filter under the kitchen sink for that but there is nothing for the bathroom or hot water heater.

What would be some recommendations for a filtering system (less than $1,000) to put in the house for the entire house. It is just a weekend/hunting place but it is nice enough that I would like to live there if I am able to retire in about ten years.

I put this system on my neighbor's place 8-10 years ago. Cost about $250.00 for everything then. Buy the $50 charcoal filter element, NOT the $10 sediment filter element. We change the filter about every 6-10 months. Has worked sell.

Jam about 25 cow magnets into the waterline going to the cabin, replace every 8 months.
Or put coffee filters on the faucets.
