Tasco scopes and heavy metal

My "den" if you want to call it that, is MY room. All of my guns, computer, stereo and anything alse I do not want to share are in here. Anyhow the room is not big but it works, I have guns here and guns there, but last night I propped a good shootin .22 with a Tasco scope on it against one of my BEEEG speakers. As I sit here today winding down from a long week and enjoying the peace and quiet by deadening all other sounds with a combination of Alice, Ozzy, Metalica, Ratt and many other bands/singers at a very high volume, I had left that .22 leaning on the speaker. I never gave a thought that maybe there was too much bass, I thought it was normal for things to fall off the walls and bounce of the desk, heck I was enjoying myself[:D]. Anyhow I went for a short ride to a well hidden place to do some shooting, wanted to check POA with Stingers and I noticed it would not hit the same place twice, even with the Winchester Super Xs it always shot into a dime group at 25 yards it wouldnt hit a 6" circle at 25 yards. What the heck? After messing with it for a moment I noticed that while looking thru the scope everything would get blurry then clear as I tapped on it, not good.

Now if my stereo wrecked this scope, just what would a heavy rifle do to one? Time to toss al of my Tascos in the trash and replace with Nikon and Burris[:D]

Think the wife will fall for it?

Politicians are like diapers, every so often you need to change them, for obvious reasons.

Tasco has always had a bad rep for this. Their "lifetime" warranty was badly needed.. I keept a cardboard box to put 'em in when customers brought 'em back. When I got a box full, I sent 'em in to Tasco for replacement. Oh, yea, I gave customers a new scope in the mean time. But, I do have a World Class 3x9 Range finder on a .338, been there for hundreds of rounds and 15 years. Always right on the mark. Guess they make a good scope once in a while, but I don't miss em!![:D][:D]

I have a 3x12x40 Tasco that I have had for many years that has taken a lot of abuse but is still on the mark. On the other hand I bought a 3x9x40 for my sons 270 and we could not get it to hold at all. Took it back and bought a Redfield Tracker, no problems with it! I reckon as stated above, Tasco does make a good one every now and then.
